Gold Buyers Central
Gold Buyers Central, a secondhand gold buyer with locations across Western Australia, South Australia and New South Wales, approached Storia Technologies to develop a custom purchasing web application to replace their outdated system. The previous system was no longer able to keep up with the growth of their business and had complex and clunky processes. They required a new system that allowed their team to create quotes, purchase secondhand jewellery, and provide various reports. Reports such as sales (per store and team member), stock on hand and daily transaction reports as per state legislative requirements for the police.

Through our partnership with Gold Buyers Central, our goal is to create a seamless and secure digital platform that revolutionises the gold buying experience.

Our Solution
We created a Vue.js interface backed by a Ruby on Rails API to meet these goals. We also hosted the application on AWS using RDS for the database, EC2 for Ruby on Rails API and S3/Cloudfront to deliver the Vue.js interface. This allowed us to create a fast, secure and scalable system. The result was a web application that is user-friendly and easy to use. For the Gold Buyers Central team, creating quotes is now a breeze, and secondhand jewellery can be purchased easily.
